As a local business owner, I’ve been contacted by a couple of call center consultants to do some inbound consulting for my sales team. I’ve learned quite a bit from these consultants, and I’ve found how to maximize my returns by reducing my over all overhead. One big topic of discussion has been to outsource inside sales. My business is fairly small, having only about 20 employees, and I’ve found that as time goes on I’d like to start maintaining a smaller group of people. To take advantage of some of these types of suggestions, I’ve decided to promote a quarter of my workforce, and open up another division. I’d like to manage around 10 employees for each division, and I think outsourcing some of the work will allow me to keep my current employees while growing my business.

Currently, the company has enough capital and backing that I can find another location to work from. Eventually, I’d like to oversee major decisions, and let the senior employees maintain a majority of the work. I’ve been getting old, and I would like to retire, but this business is my baby. It is tough seeing the business run by other people, but as we continue to grow, I find myself having a harder time overseeing everything.
