When Randy Rengal had begun driving, he noticed all the temporary construction fence on the roads and wondered - where could I get this stuff? It wasn’t that he never noticed it. Many times as a passenger in a car he’d take note of the jersey barriers and traffic cones near construction sites. Now that he was driving and becoming an independent young man, he had acquired the rebellious traits of a teenager, but more than that, had the desire to add some quirky decorations to his room.
It wasn’t that there was any significance at all to putting a traffic cone somewhere in his room, but Randy sought to do that anyway. He just as well may have shopped around for some crowd control barriers, but those were easier to knock over or trip on, he figured. Still, the boy was not sure if he could buy just one traffic cone, but it didn’t matter. It was likely that he’d go ahead and try anyway, and if he didn’t succeed the first time, he’d try again. There were plenty of other things a 17-year-old could do to put themselves at risk. Adding a traffic cone to the mix of stuff in his room couldn’t hurt young Randy.
